Artistic reframes and certainty
7/22/26
Idea from me:
Never underestimate the power of a good reframe.
Ex. “I don’t have an audience for my work,” can be changed to, “I have valuable time to better my craft before it gets noticed.”
The way we view our artistic endeavors can be almost as important as the art itself.
Quote from another:
“Attempt what is not certain. Certainty may or may not come later. It may then be a valuable delusion."
-Richard Diebenkorn
Prompt for you:
What is one consistent nagging thought you have about your art? Is there a way you can reframe this thought that makes you more excited about your creative endeavor(s)?
