Idea from me:
Monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh speaks about our ideas/expectations of happiness being one of the main things that get in the way of our actual happiness.
I think the same goes for finding balance. There have been countless occasions where I have beat myself up for not having the correct balance of creative time in regards to everything else (relationships, self-care, family, etc.)
In order to begin the journey of finding any semblance of balance in all of this, we must first trust that there probably isn’t such thing as the perfect balance, and that’s okay.
Quote from another:
Matthew Mcconaughey on finding our identity/voice:
“The first step that leads to our identity in life is usually not ‘I know who I am,’ but rather ‘I know who I am not.’”
Prompt for you:
As the summer starts to come to an end, what are some creative projects/activities you would like to spend time on this fall? What is one thing you can do now to prepare?
Love the prompt, I’m treating Fall like the new year so I can hibernate during the winter as nature intended!
